Unemployment Rate Drops, Good News For Drug Dealers
By Blaine Chowder | Dealer staff writer    Wed, Jan 19, 2005

OVER-THE-RHINE - According to a report from the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services, the unemployment rate for four Greater Cincinnati counties either fell or remained stable in the month of December.

This is good news for longtime local crack dealer and entrepreneur DeWayne Williams. Williams, who has sold crack in Over-the-Rhine for nearly a decade says that the lower unemployment rates will send yuppies scurrying to buy crack.

"Shit, white boy. You come up all in here asking me these questions, you lucky I don’t shoot your perpetratin ass", said Williams. "You want some action with my bitch, it’s gonna cost you."

Williams has several employees and says that he is considering taking on several more with the recent drop in the unemployment rates. He went on to say that his profits are up 32.3% this month, compared to 15.5% in December.

"Fa-shizzle my 9 nigga. You gonna get tapped if you don’t watch your back", said Williams.

Wendy Kramer who has worked for Williams since last October, says that she can definitely see a change in the client base.

"It will be $20 for you baby.  We can do it here or in your car, it's all good."

In Hamilton County unemployment rates fell to 3.9% in December, down from 4.3% in November.

"We have no comment. Any comment that is printed in your publication is a bold face lie", said a spokesman for the Mayor’s office who wouldn’t give his name.

Councilman and wannabe mayor, John F. Kennedy Christopher Smitherman says the figures don’t include the disparity between unemployed blacks and whites.

"I guarantee that 90% of the 3.9% of unemployed Cincinnatians are black", said Smitherman. "If I were mayor, I would make sure that 90% of that 3.9% would be white before the end of my first year in office."

DeWayne Williams works at the corner of Main and Central Parkway.  Wendy Kramer works the corner at Vine and 4th street.
