Haunted Crack House Not For Timid |

The House of Crack, the area's first haunted crack house, returns
for its fourth season this week. Billed as a "fright or flight" experience for
children between the ages of 5-12, HOC weaves realistic crack themes into each
of the seven rooms within a decrepit inner-city setting.

Entering HOC, you are greeted by a muscular dealer holding a semi-automatic
weapon. He motions you cheerfully upstairs. The crisp, chemical smell of
free-basing fills the air. Crack 'hos wander throughout the house like zombies.
Walking up the stairs to your left, a once-normal man grabs at your ankles and
offers to suck your dick for $5. You could be anywhere in Cracktown, USA.
"We like to retain the sights, sounds, and smells of professional crack dealing," explained Lonnie, who preferred that we not use his last name. "We try to make it interactive in every way that we can."
You won't see guys running around with chain saws or bloody axes at HOC. But if you're lucky, you may get to witness a drive-by from a rival gang. Pick up a 9-mm from the floor and empty a few clips back at 'em. And for just a little bit extra, you can smoke some rock or try a gateway drug with "Chalky" D. or Jimmy "The Pipe" Rinegold.
The House of Crack is open between 9 p.m.-2 a.m. and runs now through October 30. Location switches weekly around the Cincinnati area. |
