Danny Graves To Fans: “Please don't boo me.”
By Gerard Oh | Dealer staff writer    Wed, May 11, 2005

CINCINNATI - On the heels of the second devastating collapse in as many weeks, the Reds were looking for answers. Well, most of them were.

Danny Graves, who gave up the game-tying 3-run double said after the game, "We're not a bad team. We don't suck. We're not a bad pitching staff. We're not a bad bullpen. Like they reported, it wasn't my fault."

Obviously, Graves was on drugs.

Ryan Freel summed it up more realistically: "We suck."

The loss wasted an eight-inning, one-run, three-hit, eight-strikeout game by Aaron "What the hell else am I supposed to do?" Harang.

Graves went on to re-iterate what he said after last week's seven-run 9th inning choke, "Obviously it's very frustrating. It's more frustrating that the hometown fans are booing us. To have that happen makes us feel really small."

"Sometimes, after a game like that, I like to go home, fill my bathtub with money from my $6 million dollar salary, and then just roll around in it. It works great. I encourage the fans to do the same."
